Day By Day 2 Day Tanzania safari Tours Details

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast, depart on a two-hour drive to Tarangire National Park to begin your safari with an expert guide. Often overlooked, Tarangire is one of northern Tanzania’s hidden gems, offering a sense of untouched wilderness, especially in its southern reaches. The park spans 2,850 square kilometers and is named after the Tarangire River, a lifeline for wildlife. It is renowned for its swamps, home to over 550 bird species—the most in a single habitat globally. On drier plains, you may spot the impressive Kori bustard. In the late afternoon, head to your camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Begin your day with an early descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, often called “Africa’s Eden” and the “8th Natural Wonder of the World.” This ancient volcanic caldera, nearly three million years old, is home to a rich variety of wildlife including zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, antelope, and the rare black rhino. Lions bask in the morning sun as mist blankets the lush crater floor. Surrounded by steep walls, the crater shelters forests, grasslands, springs, and a soda lake.
