Day 1: Arusha – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast in Arusha, you depart with your professional safari guide and drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey passes through scenic countryside, Maasai villages, and rolling highlands, offering beautiful photographic opportunities along the way. You may enjoy a short stop for sightseeing or lunch en route. Upon arrival in the Ngorongoro highlands, you check in at your lodge or tented camp near the crater rim. The afternoon is spent relaxing while enjoying spectacular views over the crater. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge, surrounded by cool mountain air and natural beauty.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive
This day is dedicated to a full-day game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater. After an early breakfast, you descend 600 metres into the crater floor, a natural wildlife sanctuary with permanent water sources. The crater hosts an incredible concentration of animals, including lions, elephants, black rhinos, buffalo, hippos, and flamingos. You explore forests, grasslands, and soda lakes while enjoying close wildlife encounters. A picnic lunch is served inside the crater, allowing you to relax and observe animals at close range. In the late afternoon, you ascend back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Ngorongoro – Arusha
After breakfast, you enjoy a relaxed morning at the lodge, taking in the final views of the Ngorongoro landscape. Depending on time, you may visit a nearby Maasai village to learn about local culture and traditions. You then begin your drive back to Arusha, passing through scenic routes and fertile farmlands.
